taskduet.com is a task board. This page says what we store about you, why, who else sees it, and how to have it deleted.
What we store
- Your account: your name, your email address, and your password, which we keep only as a one-way hash we cannot read back.
- Your work: the projects, sections, tasks, notes, comments, custom fields, tags and files you put on the board.
- Sign-in with Google, Apple or Facebook: if you choose one, we receive your name and email address from that provider, and nothing else. We do not get your password there, your contacts, or your posts, and we never post anything for you.
- API keys: if you make one, we keep only a hash of it, its name, and when it was last used.
- Server logs: our web server records each request's IP address, time and page, which we use to keep the service running and secure.
What we use it for
Only to run taskduet.com for you: to sign you in, show you your board, send the emails you ask for (such as a password reset link), and fix problems. We do not sell your information, we do not show ads, and we do not use your tasks to train anything.
Cookies
We set one cookie to keep you signed in, and one that remembers the board design you picked. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
Who else sees it
- People you share with: if you make a share page for a project, anyone with that link can see the project's tasks and add one. You can turn the link off at any time.
- Service providers: our servers are hosted by Vultr in the United States. Error reports from our homepage go to Sentry so we can fix bugs. Emails we send go through our own mail server.
- The law: we would disclose information only if a valid legal order required it.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account exists. Deleted projects stay restorable until you delete them for good, and are then removed. When an account is deleted, its data is removed within 30 days, and from backups within 90 days.
Deleting your data
To delete your account and everything on it, including any data we received from Google, Apple or Facebook:
- Email support@taskduet.com from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account".
- We confirm by reply and delete the account and all its data within 30 days.
If you signed in with Facebook, you can also remove taskduet.com from your Facebook settings under Apps and Websites. That stops further access; email us as above to delete what we already store.
Your choices
You can change your details and revoke API keys on your Account page, and ask us at any time for a copy of your data, a correction, or its deletion.
Children
taskduet.com is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly keep their information.
